The Curriculum

We begin with an intake to understand your body’s history, your movement goals, and your home setup. Together we’ll order your props and walk through the App so you’re guided, equipped, and ready.

We create a perfect warm-up so you feel safe and confident building strength. You’ll learn what to roll, what to activate, and how to gauge progress.

This is where precision meets power. We’ll refine foundational movement patterns—lunge, squat, push, pull—and build power through your breathing. You’ll feel grounded, confident and ready for more.

More than abs—your core is your epicenter of power. This session teaches you to access and apply deep core strength with every breath. Learn the inner architecture of strength and support so adding weight is exciting.

We revisit familiar yoga shapes and infuse them with strength-building. Using resistance bands, you’ll find new muscular engagement, joint stability, and discover how small shifts unlock power and bring protection.

We train your glutes, hamstrings, and hip stabilizers to generate power and prevent injury. Expect creative variations on squats, lunges, and bridges that honor your anatomy and expand your capacity.

Strengthen your shoulders, upper back, and arms in a way that uplifts your posture and enhances everyday activity. We’ll build resilience through pushing, pulling, and stabilizing, powered by your breathing and focused on joint safety.

Learn how to move with strength and ease. We bring it all together with whole-body patterns that emphasize fluid transitions, joint integrity, and effortless effort. This session is about integration, not exhaustion.

We celebrate your progress and create a personalized plan for what's next—whether that’s continuing on your own, joining a group, or layering in new strength goals. You’ll leave with clarity, confidence and momentum.

Practice 2-3x/week on your own. You can do your perfect warm-up, use the recording from your 1:1 session, or practice with the recommended 20 Minute Miracles.

Alison Starr
Hey! I’m Alison and I’ve been in your shoes. I needed strength but didn’t know where to start. I tried the gym and even worked with trainers, but I’d stop and start, wander around and waste time, or feel like I was on the verge of injury and be scared to try again.
Around 40 it became obvious how much muscle I was losing. I was skinny but flabby. Little tweaks and twinges, aches and pains, fatigue and flare ups were becoming more common. So I pushed myself to learn, experiment and explore strength-training. But I knew if I was going to stick with it. It needed to feel like yoga.
So I began with functional movement on my mat, then added bands, eventually weights and (finally) the gym.
