Rigid v. Resilient Strength
"Without strong connective tissue, even the most powerful muscles would lack coordination and resilience."
– Derric Dailey
Not all strength is the same.
Some strength is rigid — tight muscles, isolated effort, a body that has strength but lacks spring. This is often what you see at the gym. And it's why yogis don't like it.
But there’s another kind of strength... one with suppleness and resilience. Muscles that are powerful yet pliable. A whole-body connection that builds confidence. And a subtle grace that shows up in ordinary moments: walking upstairs, carrying groceries, or the ability to release and relax quickly and easily.
The difference is in fascia — the living web that links your entire body. Fascia isn't just packaging; it transmits force, stores energy, and makes movement integrated rather than isolated.
When you train fascia as well as muscle, strength feels like yoga: deeply unified, super smart, satisfying, and sustainable.
